Unsealing Your Sonnet: A Guide to Your Reed Diffuser

Your Billet-Doux Sonnet is more than a source of fragrance; it is a love poem for your space, written on the air. Unlike the fleeting flame of a candle, its verse is constant—a beautiful, enduring presence. Follow this simple ritual to release its story.

The Ritual of Scent

Step 1: Choose the Setting Find the perfect stage for your Sonnet. Place the elegant glass flacon on a stable, level surface where it will not be easily disturbed. Consider a place with gentle air circulation, like a hallway or living room, which will help the fragrance gracefully travel throughout your sanctuary.

Step 2: Unseal the Verse Gently unscrew the decorative collar and carefully remove the stopper from the vessel. Once the stopper is removed, you can screw the collar back onto the bottle for a polished look.

Step 3: Arrange the Reeds Immerse the reeds into the scented oil. The number of reeds you use determines the intensity of the fragrance—the "volume" of the poem.

  • For a subtle whisper of scent (ideal for smaller spaces like a powder room or office), begin with 4-5 reeds.

  • For a more declarative statement of fragrance (perfect for a living room or bedroom), use all of the reeds provided.

Step 4: Allow the Scent to Bloom Patience is part of the romance. It will take 24-48 hours for the reeds to fully absorb the oil and release the complete fragrance profile. Like ink slowly saturating paper, the scent needs time to travel up the reeds and blossom into the air.

Step 5: Revive the Verse To refresh and intensify the fragrance, carefully flip the reeds every one to two weeks. This is the poem’s encore. We recommend protecting your surfaces with a cloth or paper towel during this step and washing your hands afterward.
